Hola y bienvenido!
Communicating in any language requires verbal and written skills, and we will be developing both of these in Spanish, with a greater emphasis placed on verbal skills. Learning a language is not passive, and in Spanish class, the students will engage daily in mini-conversations that help them become accustom to speaking and hearing Spanish. As the students learn new aspects of the language, we will continually revisit what has been learned to further strengthen their foundation. Students will be expected to demonstrate their skills and knowledge through regular quizzes and tests.
Learning a second language at a young age has so many developmental benefits, and being able to do so in a Christ-centered school such as Immaculate Heart of Mary is a blessing. I look forward to teaching your student a new language while they also continue their faith development.
