Parent involvement is a vital and integral part to the success of Immaculate Heart of Mary School.

There are many different opportunities in which parents, grandparents, etc.  can become involved in the school community and play a key role in their child’s spiritual, academic and social development.

Parents are encouraged to join the IHM PTO, help in classroom centers, help monitor the cafeteria/playground, or chaperone a field trip. Every parent is encouraged to attend the PTO meetings to have a better understanding of what is happening here at school.  The PTO along with the school staff coordinate the volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

How do you get involved? Be on the look out for the volunteer opportunities in the monthly newsletter or you can email the school office and we’ll find a way for you to help.

*Note: All parents are REQUIRED to become VIRTUS certified and it is their responsibility to remain compliant in order to participate directly with any child in any classroom setting/grounds.

• Sign up your Kroger Plus Card.  You must re-link your Kroger Card back to IHM each April/May.

PTO Purpose:

1.  To promote goodwill, cooperation and communication among parents, faculty, administration, The Board of Catholic Education and Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.
2. To enhance the Catholic educational facilities and opportunities for the students of Immaculate Heart of Mary School that are not otherwise provided for in the school/parish budgets.  This will be done through social activities and voluntary fundraisers.
3. To foster the political action of parents as advocates regarding national, state and local legislation that affects Catholic schools as well as the lives of students and parents.

Kroger – If you have not linked your Kroger Plus Card to our school, please go to Kroger Rewards. Please have your Kroger Plus Card available because you will need it to register.  When it asks for your 12 digit number, this includes the small “2” or “4” that is in the front and behind the large numbers.  It you do not have a Kroger Plus Card; you can pick one up at the service counter.  Click on the prompt “Get Started, Sign Up Today.”  You will need to enter information such as an email address, favorite store, a password, and then agree to the terms and conditions.  After you complete the information, you will receive a message to check your email and click on a link to confirm your registration.  Eventually you will log in and then will have the ability to click on “Community Rewards.”  You will then be able to select the non-profit to which you wish your rewards to be credited.   Our code is 80740.  Please be sure it says Immaculate Heart of Mary School/Burlington.  You need to re-link your card to IHM each April.
