Mrs. Theresa Fillhardt

Welcome to 2A! This is my 12th year teaching at Immaculate Heart of Mary. My husband and I believe strongly in Catholic education, having attended Parochial schools our entire lives. I graduated from Notre Dame Academy and he from Covington Catholic High School.  I received both my Bachelor’s Degree and my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University. I began teaching at Grandview Elementary and after moving back to Boone County, taught at North Pointe Elementary. Teaching, to me, is an amazing profession because I get to positively influence the young minds of tomorrow. Experiencing the magic of teachable moments or seeing the excitement in a child’s eyes when he/she comes to a new level of understanding is what makes my job so wonderful.  Also, I love teaching my students about Jesus and preparing them to receive their sacraments this year.  I am looking forward to an amazing year with my 2A second graders!
