Welcome to Immaculate Heart of Mary School! My name is Elaine Wagner and I have been teaching for 23 years. I spent my first year teaching 3rd grade. I then went on to teach 4th grade for 17 years and during that time I also taught 5th grade for 4 years. I also taught 7th grade Language Arts for 2 years. I was an interventionist for the past 3 years working in our LAB (Learning Advancement Block) program. I am really excited about this school year!! I am currently in the role of assistant principal here at IHM school. I am looking forward to working with all of our wonderful students and partnering with the amazing families here at IHM school to make this the most memorable and successful school year yet!
I am a proud graduate of St. Henry High School. After high school I went on to receive my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from NKU, and in 2007, I earned my Master’s Degree in Reading and Writing K-12 also from NKU. Each year it has been my goal to challenge each student and help them grow into a successful and independent learner. In my free time I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. My husband’s name is Tony and we have 3 children. Our oldest daughter, Arlyn (23), is a nurse in the acute cardiac care unit at Children’s Hospital.. We also have a 20 year old son named Blake, who is in his 4th year at NKU. Our youngest daughter, Reece (16), will be a junior at NDA.
I am looking forward to a very busy and fun school year!! Please don’t ever hesitate to email me with any comments, questions, or concerns. Go SAINTS!!
