Hi my name is Cindy Rouse. I have been employed at IHM for about twenty years. This year I will have the great privilege of teaching every child kindergarten through eighth grade at IHM. I am so glad to be a part of the IHM community, working with staff and students to create an exciting and rewarding learning experience for everyone here.
I am a high energy person who loves all art mediums, love working with children and teaching them how to tell their stories though great art work. I want to share my knowledge about art history and how to create amazing pieces of art. I want them to be able to see how much it affects their lives and tells our world history.
I grew up in Boone County on my family farm where I married the boy next store whom also grew up on his family farm. We now live on our own farm where we raised a daughter and a son who both graduated from IHM. We love spending time with family and love outdoor activities. We also enjoy working on our farm. We have many animals and this year, my students at IHM will get to see alpacas up close and work with their fiber.
I graduated From NKU with my bachelors in Fine Arts. Before that I helped start and run a family business, an ice cream restaurant for seventeen years, before making a career change to become a teacher.
