Welcome to Immaculate Heart of Mary School! My name is Kim Hillenbrand and I am going into my 5th year in my role as an Interventionist at Immaculate Heart of Mary. I am a state licensed and nationally certified pediatric Occupational therapist and have been practicing for over 25 years. I received my degree in Occupational therapy from Eastern Kentucky University in 1996 and worked in school settings for over 17 years, including Cincinnati Public Schools and Erlanger/Elsmere Schools before transitioning to IHM. In 2019 I received specialty certification as an ADHD Clinical Services Provider. I also have extensive experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as Sensory Processing disorders. In my current role at IHM I am a part of the LAB (Learning Advancement Block) team for grades K-5. I am also an ALP (Alternative Learning Plan) Advocate for the majority of our students that are diagnosed with ADHD. My own son was diagnosed with ADHD when he was in third grade at IHM, and since that time I have had a passion for learning more about this exceptionality and specifically how to help these students succeed in the classroom setting.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, and spending time with my family. My husband’s name is Jason and he is a lifelong member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. I joined IHM parish in 2002. We have three children, and all attended IHM. Our son Andrew is 20 and attends Gateway Community College while working full time and serving in the Kentucky National Guard. Our oldest daughter, Anna, is 18 and will be attending Eastern Kentucky University this fall. And our youngest daughter, Ava, will be in 7th grade at IHM. I am looking forward to another great school year at IHM! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
