Hello, IHM families! I am Julie Ashley, and I have the distinct honor of teaching Literature and Writing to 7th and 8th grade Saints. My education and experience include an undergraduate degree from Thomas More University, a Master’s degree from Xavier University, 27 years of classroom teaching, 5 years of virtual instruction, and an English Language Learners’ certification. The greatest joy I get from teaching is fostering a love of reading and witnessing children express themselves in writing with clarity and confidence.

Beyond the classroom, I hold dear the time I spend with family. My husband and I have two grown children and two fur babies. Serving in the ARMY for 36 years, my husband has yet to retire. My daughter recently got married and is a Clinical Psychologist, and my son serves overseas in the Air Force. I’m a proud mama! It is a privilege to be a part of your children’s educational and spiritual journey, and I am dedicated to making a positive impact on their young lives.
