Mrs. Carrie Shafer

Hello and welcome to 6th grade Social Studies and Science! My name is Carrie
Shafer and I am privileged to be part of the IHM staff for another year. My husband
and I have lived in Hebron since 2006. We have three grown children and two
fantastic grandchildren! After I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education, from
Southern College in Tennessee, I taught in both private and public schools. In all, I
have over 16 years of teaching experience. My most recent experience has been in
Boone county. Now, I am looking forward to my second year at this wonderful
school. From my earliest memories, I have always wanted to teach. Many favorite
teachers, over the years, have inspired me to make a difference in children’s lives, just
like they did in my life. My favorite thing about teaching at IHM is the relationship I
have with the students and faculty. These have become a true treasure to me. I can’t
wait to join the other teachers in creating a learning environment where all students
can thrive, learn and grow to be more like our Savior.
