Hello! My name is Rebecca Hackman. I am thrilled to be joining the Immaculate Heart of Mary faculty and staff. I will be teaching fourth-grade math and science. In addition, I'll be helping with the Robotics Club.
I grew up near Orlando and moved to Northern Kentucky with my family when I was in college. I finished my Bachelor's degree at Northern Kentucky University and also earned my Masters's in Education from NKU.
I have many years of teaching experience with fourth-grade children. I began my teaching career teaching Title I with fourth graders and teaching in a fourth-grade classroom. After staying at home for a number of years with my children, I returned to education in 2013 and have spent the last seven years teaching fourth grade in the Diocese of Covington. I love the fourth-grade age and curriculum!
While I am new to teaching at IHM School, our family has been part of the IHM community for many years. My husband, Tom, and I have two children who attended preschool through eighth grades at IHM and currently attend Catholic high schools. Tom is also an IHM graduate!
I have a genuine interest in inspiring all learners to achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment and help foster Catholic values. I'm looking forward to a wonderful school year!
