Hello! My name is Rebecca Hackman. I am thrilled to be starting my third year teaching at Immaculate Heart of Mary School. I will be teaching fourth-grade math and science. In addition, I'll be running the After School Resource (ASR) Program.
I grew up near Orlando and moved to Northern Kentucky with my family when I was in college. I finished my Bachelor's degree at Northern Kentucky University. I also earned my Master's Degree from NKU.
I have many years of teaching experience with fourth-grade children. I began my teaching career teaching Title I with fourth graders and teaching in a fourth-grade classroom. After staying at home for a number of years with my children, I returned to education in 2013 and have spent the last nine years teaching fourth grade in the Diocese of Covington. I love the fourth-grade age and curriculum!
While I have only taught at IHM School for a short time, our family has been part of the IHM parish and school community for many years. My husband, Tom, and I have two children who attended preschool through eighth grades at IHM. Tom is also an IHM graduate!
I have a genuine interest in inspiring all learners to achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment and help foster Catholic values. I'm looking forward to a wonderful school year!
